Street Drags Information
HOW TO ENTER THE PIT AREA & BRACKET ENTRY:
Bring your car to the Speedway’s pit gate. Pit entrance is outside of turn four of the oval track, and on the north west corner of the fairgrounds. Look for the Orange Building. There are 3 access lanes to enter into the pit. Please go to the shortest one.
To enter the Pits (A Restricted Area), you must sign the waiver and release. The waiver and release is at the Pit Gate admission windows. Get out of your car, sign in, and pay for your pit admission into the restricted area. ANYONE UNDER AGE 18 MUST HAVE A SIGNED MINOR’S RELEASE – by a parent or guardian.
MINOR’S RELEASE FORM – FOR EVERYONE UNDER AGE 18
MUST BE PRINTED IN COLOR, DO NOT BEND!
IF YOU ARE ENTERING THE PITS (RACE TRACK INFIELD):
A Tech Inspector will look at your car in the access line if you are racing in a bracket. Let them know what Bracket or Brackets you would like to participate in. They will accept the car registration fee(s) at your car. There is a fee for each Bracket you enter. Please review the bracket descriptions on the “brackets” link on this website.
Have fun and be aware for your own safety at all times.
The adjacent Go-Kart race track may be running at the same time as Street Drags. They are pitting around our pit entrance area. Please drive slowly on the way in and on your way out, as there are many children in this area.

When entering through the pit gate, look for the Speedway traffic director. The director will let you know when you can and cannot cross the track.
You may park anywhere you want, however, please park accordingly to the same direction as others, so we can get everyone inside that wants to park inside.
You may bring your car into the pits even if you are not racing. Just park your car in the in the north eastern portion of the pit area. That section is located behind the big hill (Behind the Small Race Track – on your right) when you are entering the infield.
If you are drag racing, we will call you on to the track through our Public Address System. Enter the track in turn 3 of the large oval track (please do not drive on the grass) and stage yourself in one of the two lanes located in turns 3 and 4 of the oval track. The Speedway traffic director will guide you into the staging lanes.
To have your vehicle on the race track at any time, you must have a designated “Bracket Sticker” on the upper Left corner of your windshield. This includes pre-event practice runs / grudge matches.
In the drag strip area you must stay behind the walls, stay behind the ropes, and be aware for your own safety at all times. No Carry Ins. Alcohol is not permitted in pits at any time.
IF YOU ARE DRAG RACING:
BURNOUTS: NO BURNOUTS ANYWHERE ON PREMISE, unless you have signed up for burnout contest at the pit gate – you may only do a burnout when it is your turn on the burnout pad.
RIDERS: Riders are welcome (over 12 years old). EVERYONE must have a seat belt on.
PRACTICE RUNS / GRUDGE MATCHES: There is no limit on practice runs (as time permits). Just pull up to the line. We will release you…two at a time. You may get in line in the pre-staging area in turns 3 and 4 of the “big” race track.
WHILE ON THE TRACK: No speeding after drag runs. SLOW DOWN THROUGH THE TURNS OF THE OVAL TRACK! If we have determined you have “red lighted” you will be notified by official on backstretch.
BRACKET RULES: You MAY enter in more than one bracket. Once you win a Bracket- we ask that you not participate in that bracket for the next event. (Excluding the Open Brackets).
When bracket racing begins, we will separate you into your “bracket”. We may combine brackets, depending on the number of vehicles entered. The brackets are run in that respective order as well. After each of your bracket runs, you must stop on the backstretch. An Official will guide you on where to go. If you are eliminated from your bracket, you must go into the pits. We may split (called a “break out”) a Bracket if we have a large number of cars, or for those that have performance differences
CYCLES/ATV’s : are required to wear helmets and long sleeved clothing. You drag to WHITE line.
CARS & TRUCKS: will drag to the ORANGE line. (Except for cycles, they race to white line)
BUYBACKS: If you are eliminated in brackets, and there is still time permitting, you may re-enter with a “Buyback”. This will cost $5 and is valid for a single elimination bracket. You can purchase your Buyback on the road in turn three…it is the road that leads out onto the track.
STUPIDITY RULE: Be aware that we will not tolerate stupidity. This means while racing, or at any other time. Any persons, whom may have consumed alcohol prior to or during the event, may not participate. This is about having fun. Relax and enjoy the camaraderie.
SHINE AND SHOW: You may do both…drag, and shine and show. We will award the shine and show winners around 8:15 or during the burnout contest. Park your car in the shine and show area on the small oval track’s backstretch. Our judges will be around to check your ride out.
